Established in New York in 2008, Kodansha USA Publishing (KUP) is a subsidiary of Kodansha. KUP’s first works under the Kodansha Comics imprint were Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira and Shirow Masamune's The Ghost in the Shell.
Kodansha Comics is the English-language manga-publishing imprint of Kodansha USA Publishing. Kodansha Advanced Media is a digital-content distributor and producer established in San Francisco in 2015.
